BORDEAUX 2011 FUTURES

This section relates to the sale of 2011 FUTURES.

Buying Futures, i.e. reserving the right to purchase a future vintage, is an extremely advantageous way to buy wine. It means that you are buying the latest vintage in advance : the grapes still under cultivation in the vineyards before the wines become available. There are two major benefits : first, a saving of around 10% - 30% (depending on production and chateau) on the regular chateaux release prices; second, certain wines which are produced in very small quantities are sold entirely as Futures and are impossible to find two years later.

To take advantage of these conditions, as professionals we have to buy – and pay cash for – these wines between April and June 2012; this enables us to give you the benefit of better prices and guaranteed delivery during the first quarter of 2014, as soon as the wines are made available by the chateaux.

A grand tasting for professionals takes place at the beginning of April, so that we are then able to inform you via the website of the points that the principal specialist magazines award the new wines. Appraisals from La Revue du Vin de France, Robert PARKER’s Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Le Point and Jean Marc QUARIN are posted on our website as they become available.

To take advantage of this opportunity to purchase the Greatest Bordeaux Wines at the best possible prices, we invite you to reserve the wines that interest you right away.

Reservation involves no financial commitment on your part, but puts you on our PRIORITY E-MAILING LIST so that you will be notified over a period of 4 months as and when the wines become available from the chateaux. You then have the opportunity to confirm your order, alter the quantity, add other wines, or even cancel.

We reserve the right to reduce the quantity of any Futures ordered depending on the quantity made available to us by our suppliers, since exact quantities are not known until each wine is put on sale.

As the FUTURES campaign progresses, the list of wines you can reserve in advance will be reduced; similarly, the list of wines already priced will increase and it will be possible to order these immediately in the normal way.

Orders for Futures must be paid for in cash by VISA card via our secure, encrypted payment system (SSL). Only the duty-free price of the wines is payable when you place your firm order; VAT at the rate applicable on the delivery date and the cost of delivery charges will be payable before the wines are despatched to you, i.e. during the first quarter of 2014.

Please state the delivery address if this is different from the invoicing address.

The minimum order for 2011 FUTURES is :

• 6 x 75cl bottles per chateau for wines priced at €25.00 per bottle (excl. tax) and above
• 12 x 75cl bottles per chateau for wines priced at less than €25.00 per bottle (excl. tax)

Goods can be purchased duty free if delivered by our carrier if either of the following circumstances apply :

• Goods are bought by private individuals outside the EU AREA
• Goods bought by companies within the EU with a valid Intracommunity VAT number.
